Brisbane powerhouse hardcore band War bear have announced their debut festival with
a lineup so amazing, it will bring goo to your
eyes. the break through festival will take place on Saturday the 18th of October at the greaser garage in fortitude valley, Brisbane, queensland. promoting affordability and community at $10 presale and $20 at the door you would be mad to miss this event.
boasting ten bands over two stages it is set to be a wild night, with doors opening at 5pm. let's get into who will be performing.
war bear
war bear have been putting out music since 2018 with their debut and self titled ep 'war bear', followed by eps 'wrecked 'em' (2023) and 'your move creep' (2024) and their most recent single 'slug god' in May this year.

arkángel
arkángel are a Melodic deathcore four piece from albury nsw debuted onto the scene in 2023 with single "suffocate". they have since released their ep "arkángel" in January 2025, and their latest single "haunting my dreams" featuring misstiq.

Brisbane based hardcore band inarius have released three singles to date, "locust" and "snake eyes" in (2024) and "systemanic" in June 2025.

awake in time
"A Fusion of Metal core and NU Metal "Awake in Time" are a Gold Coast 5 piece bringing an energetic, aggressive and powerful presence." - via spotify
awake in time released their debut single "reckless" in 2018, followed by ep "lucid in turmoil" (2019) and several singles, including newest editions "drowning in the noise" and "solace".

bridge left to burn
bridge left to burn are a sydney-based metalcore band and blast their way onto the scene in 2022 with "set me free". Along with several singles B.L.T.B have released one ep "bitter endings" in 2023.

alterth
Sydney modern metalcore band alterth have released three singles to date, with "fear for eternity" in 2024 and "chrome/square one" in June 2025.

outer worlds
"Transmitting from [Melbourne] Australia, Outer Worlds is a metalcore band created by a shared passion for heavy and emotional music. Inspired by funk, alt-rock, and incorporating growled vocals and high notes, Outer Worlds transcend the typical conventions of the genre with original, hard-hitting metalcore." - via spotify
outer worlds debuted on the scene with single "grave soil" in 2018. they have since released a handful of singles and two eps "demarcation" in 2024 and "terraform vol. 1" on September 5th.

defiant ground
gold coast hardcore band defiant ground have been making positive music for negative people since 2024 when they released their ep "demo '24", followed by full length album "have hope" in August.

insect
insect are a harcore-metalcore fusion band from gold coast/Brisbane. they were unleashed onto the scene in 2021 with their single "horde", followed by several singles, ep "runt of the litter" in 2023 and most recently the two-track "Neanderthal" in June.

Newcastle's heavy metal act where the devil have been unleashing music since 2020 with debut single "beast". W.T.D have since dropped several singles, including most recent in the form of "sickened and strained" in December 2024.
