if you like your anime fight scenes and video game boss battles with a side of feminine rage and justified political fury, let me introduce you to peni parker. since 2021, peni has been making her mark on the Australian music scene with empowering, thought provoking songs that make you question the system ( if you weren't already) as well as make you want to dance along the way.

with various influences from emo, metal, kpop, video game music, anime, and pop culture, peni has forged her own path, taking her self proclaimed "boss battle rock" across Australia, supporting the likes of tonight alive, hot milk, scene queen, enter shikari and paledusk, just to name a few.

last Friday, peni parker dropped her latest single "God save the nurse", which equal parts angry and punchy as it is upbeat and beautiful, highlighting the importance of the work nurses do, as well as the way the system exploits them.

overworked and underpaid, the pressure that nurses face especially in todays current climate and economy is astronomical, and parker's political rage and way of storytelling reminds us all that were not mad enough. you can watch the music video below, and follow the link here to stream this as well as her other music wherever you choose to listen.
