from the team that brought us last words and bad mgmt, comes the next evolution in the form of black rose collective- the culmination of matt raciti and Daniel Harveys hard work across Australia's local music scene.

built off the back of bad mgmt, black rose collective is a more expansive agency, dealing with bookings, event promotion as well as touring. with a stacked lineup of bands in their roster, from the likes of sienna skies and clay j Gladstone, this is already shaping up to be something very impressive .

i spoke to Matt raciti about his vision for the company and this is what he had to say.

A big part of why we’re doing this is wanting the people who actually put the work in to have a real shot at good rooms, solid tours, and nights that feel worth showing up for. Too many bands end up getting lost in the shuffle or burning out because no one’s properly looking after them, and we’d rather be part of fixing that.

Most of the launch roster are bands we were already working with in some way, or have worked with before.

 Gratitude and Finding Better Health we’ve been booking through Bad Mgmt for a while, and both have had a massive 12 months - new music, multiple DAL supports each + lots on the horizon.

We’ve worked extensively with St. Sinner over the last few years on a bunch of shows - they are easily one of our favourite bands in the scene and we're stoked to have them on board -  Clay J is someone we’ve always been fond of and have done a couple of really fun shows with in the past. They're probably one of the most underrated bands in Sydney right now and we can't wait to work alongside them to ensure more people get to experience the energy of their live shows.

Both st.sinner and Clay J Gladstone are managed by Dan Antix over at Def Wolf - we have a great working relationship with Dan and together we're really excited to see what these two can achieve in the near future.

Sienna Skies are longtime friends of ours - and a band we’ve collaborated and worked with on multiple shows and tours, as well as Elated Festival -  so formalising the booking side just made sense. They have been staples of the Sydney and Australian scene for almost two decades - true pioneers of the Aus Emo and metalcore scene and their trust and confidence means the world to us and carries instant credibility.

Finally - DreamCult is a new band featuring one of our managing directors, Daniel - plus other scene veterans from various successful projects - they just had their first show opening for Patient 67 at a sold-out Sydney gig and are definitely a band to keep an eye on.

Between the industry connections and the strong network we’ve built up, we’re in a good position to connect acts with the right resources and open a few doors that might otherwise stay shut. At the end of the day we just want to keep doing cool things with good people and make sure the scene stays strong.

raciti and harvey will continue to run weekly alternative party last words at bootleggers in newtown, showcasing local acts from across the country and bringing together community with the same passion they had when they started.
