king street wharehouse got filthy

god, i love a king street wharehouse gig. i don't give a flying fuck what anyone says. this venue is in my top 3.

taking over the wharehouse we had texas powerhouse filth with support from french band kanine, melbourne's own liar and sydney locals, iocaste.

this was a verrrrrry eventful....event.

probably the best of the month, let me tell you why.

they go hard on stage but off stage, they're a bunch of squishy marshmellows on the inside. with a dash (or two) of neurospice.

I could tell the boys wanted to run around but the stage was just a tad squishy but never too squishy for a cheeky two step moment.

The wharehouse was filling up fast right off the bat which you know i love to see. Within 5 mins, the pit has formed.

my first impressions of seeing iocaste live was nothing but amazing. the transitions in between songs were incredibly smooth. we had a chat after the gig so keep an eye out for that blog!

liar

These boys go hard. it was my first time being introduced to this band and all i can think is how much this band deserves so much more attention. amazing stage presence from all 4 boys. insane pig squeals. disgusting breakdowns. the crowd could not keep still.

this performance was incredibly impressive and i cannot wait to see them live again. hopefully on a bigger stage. there's alot of energy with this band.

kanine

straight away, i was drawn in. emily warned me about the vocalist and his range. she was right. if i could sum it up with that. it would be this photo.

moving on...

this was the perfect line up leading up to filth. i couldn't stop giggling at the crowd. all i could see was limbs everywhere. people were spin kicking, backflipping, casting spells. it was insane. there was even a cte dirty dancing moment. you know when he lifts her up

the only thing i didn't like was how the photographer was on stage alot, i understand trying to get the perfect shot but again, the stage is just too small for bands with more than 3 people so it was hard for myself to get some video content but hey. the shots the phtographer took turned out amazing!

filth

i have SO much respect for this band. they had a hiccup with their instruments but kanine saved the day and let them borrow some guitars. not having the correct instruments, they had to improvise by playing some songs from their other bands. nobody was complaining. everybody was loving it! i honestly lost count with the amount of pig squeals i heard throughout the night, the sound was fantastic so you could hear the vocals so well and these guys sound pretty damn close to how they sound on their albums.

we got the legendary song 'chin check' twice. (kind of bitter cause brisbane got it 3 times) we got that song over two gentlemen (i can't say the word they used for obvious reasons) fighting over fish sticks and we got a small teeny tiny tease of chocolate rain.

of course, the crowd was alive. i haven't seen the wharehouse so packed. i had an amazing night. i met some incredible people.

despite the cofuffles that happens on tour. filth delivered a killer show and i cannot wait for them to come back and give us what they want.
