The fans spoke and we came as romans listened! After the release of their single 'Bad Luck' fans on the forums expressed their mixed opinions of the band's first release of 2025, with many believing that the track was too soft for a first single release. the Band entered the forum and replied with "no worries if you don't like this one - we have plenty of weird stuff & heavy stuff in the pipeline" and on this statement, they delivered.

This is one of the things I love about we came as romans. Not only do they make amazing music, but they listen to their fans and respect their opinions, using fan feedback to drive their new music. Their latest release, no rest for the dreamer, immediately hints to their fans 'you wanted heavier? Well, here it is!' The track kicks off with a scream as lead vocalist, David Stephens, belts out the song title. The track then dives straight into that iconic WCAR sound, supported by heavy vocals, fast-paced drums and a melodic chorus. The chorus is jam-packed with catchy phrases that you can already hear being belted out in a packed music venue. "So why are you standing in the rain? What do you want to wash away?" This line is delivered beautifully and feels so raw as it fades into the pre-verse instrumentals.

In a post from therockpit Dave Stephens was quoted as saying “This song is for the ones still fighting for their future. The ones who can’t sleep because they’re not done yet. It’s about carrying the weight of your past, knowing you’re still not where you want to be, but refusing to stop anyway.” The song is anthemic, heavy-hitting and dynamic with all the sounds it incorporates. Fans have been showing their appreciation for the track with Youtube commenters saying "That riff is fire, and the vocals are incredible. Love the new direction". This is only a taste of what's to come as WCAR prepare to perform at warped tour in June, before diving into the 'bad luck' 2025 world tour. Supporting them on this tour are heavy-hitting favourites Brand of sacrifice, currents, at the burial and johnny booth.

If you haven't heard the track yet, peep the official visualizer here. The track involves you from start to finish, especially as it winds down with soft vocals towards the end, but then absolutely blows you away with a hard-vocals finale. We are so excited to see what else the album holds! For more information and to check out tour dates, click the link.
