Just in time for the holidays, The Pretty Reckless are shaking things up with a festive twist and of course, it’s not your average Christmas record. Taylor Momsen’s Pretty Reckless Christmas takes everything we love about the band, the edge, the emotion, and that no bullshit rock attitude and wraps it up in tinsel and distortion.

The EP features five tracks, including a reimagined version of “Where Are You Christmas?” the same song Taylor originally performed as Cindy Lou Who in How the Grinch Stole Christmas 25 years ago. Except this time, it’s not sweet and innocent, it’s bold, moody, and drenched in grit. It’s the kind of version only The Pretty Reckless could pull off.
Alongside that nostalgic throwback are four brand new tracks that twist the idea of a “Christmas record” on its head. Some songs lean into that classic warmth “I Wanna Be Your Christmas Tree” feels like a tipsy love letter under the lights, while others, like “Christmas Is Killing Me”, tap into the darker side of the season. There’s heartache, hope, and a little chaos in between, exactly what December really feels like.
Taylor said the project started as one song, but once they hit the studio it turned into something much bigger. “There was so much emotion, nostalgia and chaos wrapped up in it that it didn’t feel right to leave it standing alone,” she shared. That’s how Pretty Reckless Christmas became what it is… a full, emotional body of work that still carries their trademark fire.
Since breaking onto the scene with Light Me Up, The Pretty Reckless have cemented themselves as one of rock’s most fearless acts, topping charts, touring with legends like AC/DC, The Rolling Stones, and Soundgarden, and becoming the first female fronted band to score seven No. 1 singles on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Chart.

With this release, Taylor and the crew prove they can even make Christmas sound rebellious. Whether you’re raising a glass or burning the tree down, Pretty Reckless Christmas is the soundtrack for both.
The EP is streaming everywhere now and drops physically on November 14 via Fearless Records.
