Byron Bay power house parkway drive set the metal world on fire on monday by releasing a teaser with a series of symbols on their social media. following the clues lead fans to figure out that they spelt the word "sacred". sacred is the latest music to debut in the long history that is parkway drive and was released at 11pm last night.

I am personally excited to see this song performed live as it is evident it was designed for the live performance; with 2 breakdowns, guitar solo, a section perfect for the setting up of a wall of death and chanting. for anyone who has spoken to me for more than two minutes about metal, you will know that my favourite thing is "blegh' so hearing it in this song had me giddy.

with a hyper blend of the old parkway drive that we all know and love, and something creatively different, I can see this single, and the subsequent following album, becoming a fan favourite.
with YouTube comments like "It's 12:48am and my neighbours already love this song as much as I do",@bonusrollgaming9891, "that second breakdown came out of nowhere and was filthier than the back of my fridge jesus christ" @fosk9925 and "This feels like less of their new direction, and more like an evolution of their roots. Absolutely killed it fellas", @damonharris-brennan5810, it is clear that the song is already a hit.
did you like sacred? what was your favourite part?
