the perfect album will always be a controversial topic, as it comes down to the
personal taste of the listener; however, this is my list of perfect albums, no skips, no songs that are so-so, just good quality albums that are top tier from start to finish. I have not included "best of" albums as that is a cheat to the system in my opinion.
this list is not restricted by genre as my music taste is quite broad so buckle up. I am also painfully aware of how much I am dating
myself with most of these picks, they are amazing nonetheless. I have had to remove three off of my mental list over the years due to the unforgivable actions of certain band members; but here is my current working list, in no particular order.
end of fashion - self titled
Perth pop rock band 'end of fashion' released their debut and self titled album in 2005. my personal favourite song from the album is 'rough diamonds'.
whitechapel - our endless war
2014 saw Tennessee deathcore band whitechapel unleash their fifth album 'our endless war'. my personal favourite song from the album is 'the saw is the law'.
A Fire Inside - December underground
Californian SCREAMO punk rock band AFI released their eighth album 'december underground' in 2006. my personal favourite song from the album is 'endlessly, she said'.
parkway drive - horizons
Byron Bay locals parkway drive released their third album 'horizons' in 2009. my personal favourite song from the album is 'boneyards'.
suicide silence - no time to bleed
Californian deathcore band suicide silence release their second album 'no time to bleed' in 2009. my personal favourite song from the album is 'smoke'.
R.I.P MITCH LUCKER 1984-2012
a day to remember' - homesick
Florida metalcore band a day to remember released their fourth album 'homesick' in 2009.
my personal favourite song from the album is 'mr. highway's thinking about the end'.
as blood runs black - allegiance
2006 brought with it 'allegiance', the debut album of Los Angeles deathcore band, as blood runs black. my personal favourite song from the album is 'pouring reign', and I actually walked down the aisle to this song.

blink 182 - take off your pants and jacket
'take off your pants and jacket' was released in 2001 as the fifth album of san diego pop-punk band blink 182. my personal favourite song from the album is 'happy holidays, you b**tard'.
bring me the horizon - suicide season
sheffield metalcore band bring me the horizon released their second album 'suicide season' in 2008. I know that most bmth fans will raise their eyebrows at my choice of album considering it isn't 'sempiternal', but as an elder-emo, this is the og choice for me as it truly cemented the bands new direction. my personal favourite song from the album is 'football season is over feat. JJ peters'.
gallows - great britain
hertfordshire hardcore punk band gallows released their second album 'grey britain' in 2009. my personal favourite song from the album is 'misery'.

Utah SCREAMO band the used released their third album 'in love and death' in 2004.
my personal favourite song from the album is 'sound effects and overdramatics'.
Linkin park - meteora
californian alternative rock/nü metal band Linkin park, released their third album 'meteora' in 2003. my personal favourite song from the album is 'numb'.

Silverchair - frogstomp
'frogstomp' was the debut album of Newcastle rock band, Silverchair, released in 1995. my personal favourite song from the album is 'tomorrow'.

total BuzzKill - the start of something beautiful
total BuzzKill are a Brisbane metalcore band, who released their debut album 'the start of something beautiful' in May this year. my personal favourite song from the album is 'false hopes'. this band is definitely an up and coming local band to watch.
my chemical romance - three cheers for sweet revenge
new Jersey SCREAMO band my chemical romance released their second album 'three cheers for sweet revenge' in 2004. my personal favourite song from the album is 'you know what they do to guys like us in prison'.

Paramore - riot!
tennessee alternative rock band Paramore released their second album 'riot!' in 2007. my personal favourite song from the album is 'for a pessimist, i'm pretty optimistic'.

lorna shore - pain remains
New Jersey deathcore band lorna shore released their fourth album 'pain remains' in 2022. my personal favourite song from the album is 'welcome back, o' sleeping dreamer'.
escape the fate - dying is your latest fashion
las Vegas SCREAMO band escape the fate released debut album, 'dying is your latest fashion' in 2006. my personal favourite song from the album is 'not good enough for the truth in cliché'.
Kisschasy - United paper people
'united paper people' was the debut album by melbourne rock musicians kisschasy in 2005. my personal favourite song from the album is 'united paper people'.
gyroscope - breed obsession
Perth four piece rock band gyroscope released their third album 'breed obsession' in 2008. my personal favourite song from the album is 'o.k'.
