nothing beats going to a concert where two of the members think they're performing a comedy show (lol!) besides getting us jumping, dancing, singing and headbanging, the boys definitely had us laughing throughout the night.
AND NO SORRY WE DONT KNOW HOW A SHOEY ORIGINATED (LOL!!)
the crowd was buzzing with anticipation and excitement as IPREVAIL HIT THE STAGE. SEEING SO MANY PEOPLE COME TOGETHER TO CELEBRATE THE RELEASE OF THEIR LATEST ALBUM, VIOLENT NATURE, WAS INCREDIBLE. WHEN THE AGGRESSIVE OPENING TITLE TRACK KICKED IN AND ERIC VANLERBERGHE SCREAMED THE FIRST LINE, THE CROWD ABSOLUTELY LOST THEIR MINDS, RELEASING EVERY BIT OF ENERGY THEY HAD BEEN HOLDING ONTO.
the blend between the clean vocals and screams WAS INREDIBLE TO HEAR AND WATCH LIVE. whether IT was eric switching EFFORTLESS between THE TWO OR Dylan BOWMAN's CLEAN VOCALS ALONGSIDE eric'S screaming, EVERYTHING WAS smooth, POWERFUL AND NATURAL. Dylan not only plays guitar for iprevail BUT HAS ALSO STEPPED INTO THE ROLE OF CLEAN VOCALIST AND HE ABSOLUTELY SMASHED IT. HE EVEN DROPPED A FEW FUNNY ONE-LINERS THROUGHOUT THE SET THAT HAD THE CROWD LAUGHING.
the transitions between songs, sound and vocal styles were top tier. I LOVED HEARING THE BAND MOVE FROM HARD-HITTING, AGGRESSIVE TRACKS INTO SLOWER, MORE MELODIC MOMENTS. THE SHIFTS FELT SEAMLESS AND REALLY SHOWCASED THE BAND'S VERSATILITY THROUGHOUT THE SET.
can we talk about the drum solo?
holy shit.
that WAS mesmerizing! the crowd lost their minds; I lost my mind AND ANY CHANCE OF GETTING A STEADY VIDEO was impossible. gabe hElguera is a phenomenal drummer and the solo was easily one of the highlights of the night.
every member had their moment to shine throughout the set. individually, they each brought their own energy, personality and stage presence, but together they created the powerful sound that has made violent nature such an amazing record.
from the opening note to the final song, iprevail delivered everything you could possibly want from a headline performance. massive energy, incredible musicianship, crowd interaction (shoeyyyy) and enough memorable moments to keep people talking long after the show ended.

IMMINENCE IMMINENCE WHAT CAN I SAY! HOLY CRAP WHAT A SET. THAT WAS INSANE! I WENT INTO THE SHOW KNOWING OF YOU BUT NEVER ACTUALLY LISTENED TO ANY OF YOUR MUSIC BUT I DAMN WILL NOW. YOU ARE ALL INDIVIDUALLY AND COLLECTIVELY SO TALENTED, IT WAS SUCH AN EXPERIENCE.
I HAVE A NEWFOUND SOUND, THE WAY YOU IMPLEMENTED THE VIOLIN INTO YOUR SOUND; SOMETHING IVE NEVER ACTUALLY LISTENED TO BEFORE, GIVING YOUR MUSIC A CINEMATIC FEEL FROM SUCH AN AGGRESSIVE SOUND TO A VULNERABLE AND EMOTIONAL BLEND WHICH I FOUND INCREDIBLE.

I'VE NEVER HEARD ON INVENT ANIMATE UNTIL THE SHOW, I DIDNT KNOW WHAT I WAS EXPECTING NOR DID I HAVE ANY EXPECTATIONS ON THE SUPPORTING BANDS. bOY OH BOY WAS I BLOWN AWAY BY THE STAGE PRESENCE, SOUND AND ENERGY FROM INVENT ANIMATE.
THEY ARE SUPER TALENTED (YOU JUST EARNT YOURSELF A NEW FAN).
I FORGOT YOU WERE EVEN THE OPENERS; YOU COMMANDED THE CROWD SO WELL AND GOT US HEAD BANGING AND DANCING, I WAS HAVING SO MUCH FUN AND WAS LOCKED IN ON YOUR SET. MAY I ADD INVENT ANIMATE WAS A PERFECT ADDITION ON THE LINEUP.
