Rising from the innermost parts of Lebanon’s underground music scene, Borrowed Time are hitting hard in 2026 with their newest single 'Withered'.
'Withered' takes existential dread plus those questions that keep us awake at night, and provides a haven for anyone weighed down by a heavy mind. Did I make the right decisions? Have my sacrifices in life been worth it? 'Withered' deals with these feelings of burnout and turns them into something worthwhile.

By entwining elements of prog and metalcore with technical and melodic aspects, ‘Withered’ crafts a sound that portrays emotional complexity.
Opening with a soft dreamy synth melody, a trap beat rises in the background and acts as a heartbeat in the beginning of the song that builds momentum. Heavy riffs are teased as the momentum spills into an explosive pre-chorus with heavy djenty riffs taking over the foreground.
The rest of the track carries this heaviness and momentum forwards. The chorus is absolutely eruptive and anthemic, with aggression and vulnerability coming together effortlessly. These following lines from the chorus are hard-hitting and really reinforce the core feeling of this song.
"I’m buried in my ruins No end in sight Hollow, I fantasize While I’m still alive"

'Withered' really stands out in its ability to convey emotion richly and deeply through its lyrics and overall sound as a whole.
