If you're a fan of Nirvana, Silverchair and Soundgarden, Adelaide's Jonny Amoral has just released a second album called 'Delirium ', and it's definitely the album for you.

Listening to the first track, 'Pull The Trigger ', made me feel like I had taken a time machine back to the 90s grunge scene. Nostalgic but fresh, I could tell I was going to like this album straight off the bat!

Moving on to 'Here ', where do I even begin?

The verse melody is so addictive and angsty, ramping up to a Killer climactic chorus. This track is so incredibly Kurt Cobain it's uncanny.

The third punchy track off this album, 'The Patient ', is another classic 90s alt rock feel with cutting lyricism. Jonny Amoral has been quietly churning out banger after banger, now finally delivering the sounds us 90s rock fans yearn for, whilst still creating something that feels new and exciting!

The album takes an energy dip at Track four, 'Stranded', which is still rocky, but it verges more on the gut-wrenching side. Dynamically speaking, this track placement is super effective in the context of the rest of the album. It creates a beautiful sense of movement, accentuated by audio samples from local news programs used to open and close the track.

Another ambient opening exists on track seven, 'Froot Loopz'. I am actually in awe of Jonny Amoral's vocals on this one. It feels like an effortless shift between that half-sung, half-spoken grunge verse, into delicate falsetto notes, and furthermore into that false-cord or fry scream sound.

I also can't get over how incredibly catchy every track is. Although I won't spoil every song with a review, I have to mention that this is a no-skip album for me. All eleven songs feel perfectly curated. My best advice is to press play and sit back; this is the kind of album that you can take with you anywhere. Put it on for a half-hour drive or a gym session, perhaps even house cleaning.

Wherever you listen, it's sure to motivate you!
