I PREVAIL have been at the centre of a hurricane of announcements this past month with the departure of clean vocalist Brian Burkheiser on the 16th of May, after 10 years in the band,

along with the subsequent two performances at Sonic temple festival and welcome to Rockville festival where guitarist Dylan stepped into his official role of clean vocalist; finally, the release of a cryptic set of numbers and letters , that once deciphered revealed the date 0502302025 and the name violent nature. Following the clues with the qr code led you to a teaser of the now released single 'violent nature' via fearless records.

'Violent nature' is the first look at what we will now come to expect from the new look I prevail. "With it, they released a gripping music video that highlights the track’s fast-paced and infectious energy" - I prevail.

I prevail have stepped into their new sound with fists out, full vocal spectrum on display and all instruments being pushed to their limits; with unrelenting guitars and drums to lose your mind to. violent nature is “Aggressive, fast, and heavy. All packed into 2 minutes and 10 seconds. Turn it up and put your head through the f**king wall.” - Eric Vanlerberghe.

it is clear that I prevail are out to push their own boundaries and to make a statement, and I for one am here for it and so excited to see where the band is going in their musical

direction.

the band "embarks on a new chapter with the release of Violent Nature, a song born from battling their personal demons and the turmoil brewing beneath the surface. They are on a mission to redefine heavy music on their own terms and remind the world why they are one of the most vital forces in modern metal." - I prevail.

after seeing I prevail perform as direct support to 'Parkway Drive' during their 20th anniversary tour, I cannot wait to see them return to Australia, with their new and heavier sound.

9/10 - my only wish was that the song was longer, so I had more time to vibe along, although I understand why it has been approached the way it has.
