"Give me a reason, I NEED A REASONNNN"
WELL, YOU DEFINITELY GAVE US A MILLION REASONS TO BUY CONCERT TICKETS.
Welcome to Australia, Catch YOUR BREATH! THANK YOU FOR MAKING US PART OF YOUR TOUR.
ON MAY 21ST AT 170 RUSSELL, MELBOURNE VIC, MY FRIENDS AND I FINALLY GOT THE OPPORTUNITY TO WATCH CATCH YOUR BREATH PERFORM LIVE. IM TRULY GLAD I GOT TO CATCH YOU ON YOUR FIRST MELBOURNE SHOW, BECAUSE YOU TRULY KILLED IT. SEEING YOU GUYS UP ON STAGE DOING WHAT YOU LOVE GENUINELY PUT A SMILE ON OUR FACES.
EACH MEMBER BROUGHT THE HEAT!!!!

WE GOT TO HEAR THE SONGS LIVE FOR THE FIRST TIME, TRACKS THAT MADE US FANS IN THE FIRST PLACE; 'DIAL TONE', 'SHAME ON ME', '21 GUN SALUTE' AND 'RICOCHET' JUST TO NAME A FEW. HEARING THE SONGS WE ONCE LISTENED TO ALONG IN OUR ROOMS NOW BEING PLAYED LIVE IN FRONT OF US FELT SURREAL. SCREAMING LYRICS ALONGSIDE A ROOM FULL OF PEOPLE WHO CONNECTED TO THE SAME EMOTIONS MADE THE EXPERIENCE EVEN MORE SPECIAL,
THE CROWD ABSOLUTELY LOST IT WHENEVER THEIR FAVOURITE SONGS STARTED PLAYING. PEOPLE WERE JUMPING, MOSHING, DANCING AND SINGING EVERY WORD. IT WAS SO COOL TO SEE PEOPLE FROM DIFFERENT AGE GROUPS COME TOGETHER TO CELEBRATE A MILESTONE WITH THE BAND.
I HAD WAITED FOR SO LONG FOR CATCH YOUR BREATH TO FINALLY COME DOWN UNDER AND THE NIGHT FELT INCREDIBLY SPECIAL. IRONICALLY, MY PHONE RAN OUT OF STORAGE AFTER ONLY A FEW SONGS. AT FIRST, I WAS ANNOYED, BUT HONESTLY, I ENDED UP BEING A BLESSING IN DISGUISE. ONCE I REALISED THERE WAS NOTHING ELSE, I COULD DO TO FIX IT, I PUT MY PHONE AWAY AND FULLY ABSORBED THE SHOW INSTEAD.
I WAS SCREAMING, SINGING AND DANCING AROUND LIKE AN IDIOT AND BY THE END OF THE NIGHT MY VOICE WAS COMPLETELY GONE (WHICH IS HOW YOU KNOW IT WAS A GOOD CONCERT). HEARING THESE SONGS LIVE REMINDED ME OF WHEN I FIRST DISCOVERED THEM AND WHERE I WAS IN LIFE AT THE TIME, WHICH MADE THE NIGHT EVEN MORE MEANINGFUL.
SIDE NOTE: YOU BOYS HAVE OFFICIALLY LEFT YOUR MARK ON AUSTRALIA. WE CAN'T WAIT TO HAVE YOU GUYS BACK ALREADY. YES, I KNOW YOU LITERALLY JUST PLAYED HERE... BUT STILL, COME BACK SOON. DONT FORGET ABOUT US.
HONESTLY, I CAN'T EVEN PICK A FAVOURITE MOMENT BECAUSE THE ENTIRE NIGHT WAS INSANE, BUT SEEING THE BAND SMILE WHILE THE CROWD SCREAMED EVERY LYRIC BACK TO THEM WAS SOMETHING TRULY SPECIAL. YOU COULD TELL IT WAS ONE OF THOSE "WE MADE IT" MOMENTS, FLYING ACROSS THE WORLD AND HEARING A COMPLETELY NEW CROWD SING EVERY WORD BACK TO YOU.
WHEN THE FINAL NOTE OF "DIAL TONE" ENDED AND Catch Your Breath STARTED TO WALK OFF STAGE, I WAS GENUINELY IN DISBELIEF THAT THE NIGHT WAS ALREADY COMING TO AN END. WE NEEDED MORE. THEN CAME THE ENCORE PERFORMANCE OF "SHAME ON ME", WHICH COMPLETELY TOOK OVER THE ROOM. FOR THOSE 3 MINUTES AND 21 SECONDS, I FORGOT ABOUT EVERYTHING ELSE AROUND ME AND EVEN THE FACT THAT IT WAS UNFORTUNATELY THE LAST SONG OF THE NIGHT.
CATCH YOUR BREATH BROUGHT THE CROWD TOGETHER IN SUCH A GENUINE WAY, ENCOURAGING EVERYONE TO HAVE FUN, BE THEMSELVES AND REMEMBER THAT NONE OF US ARE ALONE IN OUR STRUGGLES. IT WAS A BEAUTIFUL MOMENT TO BE PART OF.
DONT FORGET THE NAME: CATCH YOUR BREATH!!!
AND DONT FORGET TO CATCH THEIR UPCOMING ALBUM "NOT BROKEN ENOUGH", RELEASING ON AUGUST 28TH 2026.

Though I was initially unfamiliar with a lot of the group’s work, seeing Catch Your Breath absolutely own the stage at 170 Russell was an incredible first impression.
Strong and supported vocals with an impressive fry accompanying the tight backline instantly transported me into the world that they have formulated over the past 9 years. With a voiceover introducing each track, the vibe was dystopian, and the intentional lyricism of each song was emphasised, loudly and explicitly reflecting the band’s values of community, mental health and prevailing through tough times. It felt as though individuals from vastly different walks of life could come together and feel connected through the motives of each Catch Your Breath song.

I have slipped into the rabbit hole, streaming their songs and getting familiar with their produced sound, and I am obsessed! Their sound is metallic while honing in on pop elements through the melody and sometimes softer vocals. For fans of Bad Omens, Sleep Theory and The Home Team, Catch Your Breath is right up your alley!

Catch Your Breath, I think more like leaving me breathless. That’s how I felt watching the entire 17-song set: energy, emotion, and not a single missed moment.

The crowd was the ultimate vibe! Nobody was pushing or shoving unless you were headed to the mosh pit, which is to be expected. So many people were singing with all their hearts and leaving it all out there. The room somehow felt both chaotic and completely connected at the same time. I started to get goosebumps when they played Y.S.K.W (You Should Know Why). It’s their song that resonated with me the most when I first found them, and it’s become a staple in my playlists. Hearing the whole room sing it back made it hit even harder.
The vocals were incredible and sounded better than listening to the songs on my headphones. They’ve been able to mix the singing and screaming perfectly with the instrumentals. Everything came through so clearly, with nothing overpowering anything else. Catch Your Breath is definitely one for the girlies, and hearing them live just took it up another level.

I’d love to give a huge shoutout to the boys in Heartline. We were able to make it in time for their set, and for four guys from Adelaide, they definitely pumped up the crowd. The room felt alive from the start; people were moving, reacting, and fully locked in. My ADHD-riddled brain loved the different elements combined into each song. Their set was so fun, I’m definitely a fan after that!
