If you are looking for a song to add to your end of the world party playlist, then you're absolutely in luck! All Regards’ newest single ‘discontent’ is a catchy post-apocalyptic banger that deals with the idea of “apathy in the face of annihilation”.

Utilising a sound that takes the punchiness of pop-punk and the melodic aspects of alt-rock, the Melbourne/Gippsland based band express the bleakness of being powerless in the face of corruption and utter destruction.
Through collaborating with Jack Newlyn (Between You & Me, Belle Haven) in terms of mixing, production and engineering, ‘discontent’ is assuredly solid.
Razor-sharp guitar riffs, melodic dual vocals and vibrant drums define this track & demonstrate that All Regards are definitely in their element here.

I love how This track shines lyrically, with vivid storytelling and emotive imagery really working to portray that sense of defeat. The chorus is very anthemic, with lyrics like “there's nothing else to do, we'll watch the world burn down” really emphasising the feeling of hopelessness.
There is a hint of optimism in this track however, with vocalist/guitarist Stefan Sepulveda stating that “together with the next single 'resist', there's a real call to action to get out and create positive change in whatever ways you can."
Fans of early 2000's pop-punk vibes, as well as bands like Paramore, Fallout Boy and Incubus will definitely want to chuck this one a listen.
You can listen to 'discontent' here and keep an eye out for when All Regards' next track 'resist' drops in the next coming months!
All Regards will be playing at their upcoming single launch gig at The Workers Club in Fitzroy on March 27th, with tickets available here!
