welcome back to the new year of 2026!

with a new year comes new goals, new music, new bands and new tour plans. lets take a look at some of my predictions and wish-lists for this year!

starting off, i'm predicting turnover

their last visit to australia was in 2023, supporting slowly slowly. last year turnover completed a large scale 10th anniversary tour across america and the uk for their classic hit album "peripheral vision".

while australia missed out on the anniversary tour, my gut is telling me we are on their radar for a return.

my biggest prediction is turnover headlining for "new bloom festival". after the festivals previous years of headliners being citizen & basement, turnover is an excellent fit for this festival.

if you're an aussie turnover fan like me, i'm sure you also watched all the reels of their iconic show at the red rocks and sobbed in jealousy.

my second prediction for 2026 is....

it has been now 20 long years since their last australian tour. there's no particular reason why, however the band has expressed the desire to return!

three days grace are still actively touring, currently with their "alienation" tour from their 2025 album. this tour covers north america and europe, with no australian dates - but lets keep our fingers crossed.

lets talk hardcore... a band from new york that i'm itching to see again, pain of truth.

their first australian tour was in 2024 and i was lucky enough to catch them supporting speed. it's safe to say the aussie hardcore scene loved their sets and wants them back again asap.

pain of truth released a collaborative ep with sunami in 2025 which created a load of excitement worldwide for fans of both bands.

while there's no news of their return to australia, the band is definitely aware we are eagerly awaiting their return. i have hope they will be back sometime soon!

another prediction of mine is the red jumpsuit apparatus

an iconic group we haven't seen here since their tour in 2018, supported by the comfort.

October 2025 was the release of their latest album "x's for eyes".

the red jumpsuit apparatus currently has a tour planned from feburary through til may in the us and the phillipines. whether they plan for a headline australia tour or not, i can picture them being an ideal fit for 2026 good things festival.

speaking of good things festival... we sadly did miss two bands that could not make it to australia due to unforeseen circumstances and family emergencies. those bands were knocked loose, and the all american rejects.

both bands expressed their heartache to pull out of the festival, with many fans giving them their full support.

knocked loose last visited australia in 2023, performing at knotfest & their own sideshows. they since released another hit album "you won't go before you're supposed to" with features from poppy and motionless in white.

the all american rejects haven't been back to australia since 2009! after a long 16 years, fans hearts broke. the band over these years have released many singles, ep's and 2 albums. the group really took off again in 2025 when they started going viral on tiktok for their house party shows, which they gave the opportunity for australian's to apply to bring the parties to their own backyards. the band extended their apologies for not making it down under, with the promise to visit as soon as possible.

i have strong faith both bands will be making plans for their returns soon!
