its been a long six years since the release of the genre defining " I let it in and it took everything, an absolutely monumental record that cemented uk juggernauts loathe as one of the best in the business as far as the heavy music scene is concerned. but with a release as amazing as that , bears the question, "how do you top it?" "is there any going up from here?" "what can this band possibly do next?"

well, the anticipation is finally over, with a release date for loathe's 3rd studio album "a stranger to you" finally in sight- paired with the phenomenal new track "revenant" featuring nowhere2run. this track is the second song to be released from the album, with "gifted every strength" released in may last year.

loathe are a band that have never been afraid to take risks and go against the grain of polished, formulaic metalcore with low tunings and changing time signatures, the heaviest song you've ever heard immediately followed by a tearjerking ballad about love, this band are anything but conventional.

both singles to come from this album are a testament to the fact that you cant rush perfection, and loathe aren't playing it safe. you can check out "revenant" below.

loathe will be back on Australian shores next week for their long awaited debut headline tour, having been here previously in 2024 for good things festival and in 2022 supporting while she sleeps.

with them they will be bringing along uk genre benders static dress for their very first time in the country. both bands on this tour will be bringing brand new material with them, with static dress also having just announced a new album titled injury episode, out 29th of may.

the tour starts on the 9th of may in Perth then continues through Adelaide, melbourne, Sydney, Newcastle and finishes in Brisbane on the 16th. Perth, melbourne and Sydney are all sold out, other shows not far behind, so be sure to jump on tickets while your still can here.
