"Stir It Up" showcases your signature fusion of catchy melodies and KILLER riffs. How has your sound evolved since your formation in 2019, and what influences have shaped this progression?

Can you share the story or themes that inspired this track? How do you approach storytelling in your music?

" 'Stir It Up' is really about empowerment. It’s for everyone who has ever felt knocked down, judged, or lost their power in the face of adversity. We've all had those moments when it feels like the world is against us, but the song is about rising above that. The theme of reclaiming strength, and finding your voice again, is central to the track. In terms of storytelling, we like to keep things raw and real, speaking to the struggles and victories that everyone can relate to. Our music is a reflection of our own experiences, and we hope that listeners can hear their own stories in it too."

Your live performances are known for their infectious energy and theatrical flair. How do you conceptualize visuals to complement your music, and what message do you aim to convey through them?

"Our live shows are a blend of energy, passion, and a bit of fun! We really want the visuals to match the intensity of the music and the emotions behind the lyrics. We aim to bring something more than just a performance; it's about creating an experience. The visuals often include bold, coloUrful elements, and we try to include aspects that amplify the message of strength and self-expression. We want our audience to feel empowered and leave the show feeling like they can conquer anything"

Originating from the Gold Coast, how has your local environment influenced your music and artistic expression?

"The Gold Coast is a unique place. It’s got this laid-back, beachy vibe but also has a growing arts and music scene. It’s a place where people are all about self-expression, and I think that’s something that’s really seeped into our sound. There’s also a sense of community that’s really inspiring—people here support each other, and that’s something that’s helped us as artists"

How would you describe the music scene in the Gold Coast and Brisbane areas (coming from a small town girl on the Mid North Coast NSW)? In what ways has this environment impacted your growth as an artist?

"I was born in Hay and then moved to small rural areas throughout my childhood. Living out in the country brings a strong sense of peace and the beauty of allowing yourself to be bored...that's what sparks creativity. When you're surrounded by so much silence, you begin to make your own noise and it becomes such a strong moment of self-reflection in the final product. Moving to the big smoke, I found such a strong sense of community and other like-minded creatives wanting to drive their passion and find themselves in the music"

You've shared the stage with legendary acts like The Preatures, Killing Heidi, and Wolfmother. How have these experiences influenced your creative process, and are there any dream collaborations you'd like to pursue?

"Sharing the stage with bands we’ve admired for years has been an incredible experience. Some of these acts are ones I’ve been following since I was young, and to now be sharing the same stages with them is both humbling and motivating. They continue to play massive shows worldwide, which really drives home the message that no matter where you are with your craft, anything is possible with hard work and, most importantly, believing in yourself. Seeing them still going strong, evolving, and inspiring new generations has shown us that staying true to your vision and never giving up can truly take you places. As for dream collaborations, we'd love to be sharing a stage with Jack White, QOTSA, Joan Jett, and Beach Bunny"

What obstacles have you encountered in your musical journey, and how have they shaped you as an artist?

"Like any artist, there have been ups and downs. The biggest obstacle has been dealing with self-doubt and the pressure to fit into a certain mold. When you’re trying to carve out your own space in the music world, it can be hard to ignore those outside voices. But over time, we’ve learned to trust ourselves and our vision. Every challenge, whether it's a tough gig, a missed opportunity, or a creative block, has taught us something valuable. It’s made us stronger, more resilient, and more determined to stay true to our own sound"

Can fans anticipate a full length album or EP following this single? What themes or concepts are you exploring in your upcoming work?

"Yes, we’re definitely working on new material, and there will be a few more single releases coming soon! The themes we’re exploring revolve around resilience, self-empowerment, and what it means to be yourself, unapologetically"

As a band that blends various genres, how do you navigate these influences in your creative process? Do you find one influences the other?

"We love blending genres because it allows us to experiment and find new ways to express ourselves. Our creative process is all about collaboration—each member brings their own influence to the table, whether it’s rock, pop, or a bit of funk or indie. We’ve learned to play off each other’s strengths and allow these genres to influence each other organically. It’s all about finding the right balance, and it’s exciting to see how one sound can inspire another. We don’t try to fit into any box; we just make music that feels right"

What do you hope listeners take away from "Stir It Up" and your music in general?

ree

"We hope listeners feel empowered and reminded of their own strength. "Stir It Up" is a song that celebrates rising above challenges, so if people take away anything from it, we want them to know that no matter what life throws at them, they have the power to rise, be themselves, and shine. Our music is about being authentic, embracing your quirks, and finding the courage to stand tall—even when it’s tough"
