inertia announce full aus headline tour in support of their brand new single "emerald whisper"

Sydney metalcore three-piece Inertia have just announced they are embarking on a full Australian tour in support of their incredible new single "emerald whisper", This july/August.
the tour will kick off in Sydney on Friday 24th, then up to Brisbane on the 25th, then after a week off, they'll be in hobart on the 31st, Adelaide on the 1st and then wrapping things up in Melbourne on Sunday the 2nd of August. supports are yet to be announced.

"emerald whisper" is the first new material the band have released since dropping their highly acclaimed debut album "second shadow" in 2024. since then, they played their first ever headline tour, and have supported the likes of poppy, imminence, and northlane, as well as playing good things festival.
I asked guitarist/producer Mark Williamson about the writing process, this is what he had to say:
"When Olly presented the instrumental it immediately brought a mood that fits perfectly with what Inertia does. It went through the usual process of some small structural changes, some additions and tweaks to riffs and production layers, and we were ready to get stuck into writing vocals."
"Lyrically, we generally use themes and topics that all 3 of us relate to in our own way, and this was no exception. Emerald Whisper has the lyrical atmosphere of a love song but as you look into it you can see it’s simply used as a metaphor. I’m real happy with the collaborative nature of how this song came about and everyone’s role in making it come to life."
the new single Marks the beginning of a new chapter for inertia, as they continue defying the perameters of the typical metalcore sound by blending it with a more refined dark pop sound with an RnB twist. influenced by artists from loathe to sza, the result is boundary breaking, alluring metalcore wrapped up in a little soulful package delivered straight to your ears.
