Jinjo are a four piece metalcore band, hailing from the Central Coast of NSW. These guys state that “some feelings must be screamed” and through ‘Bone Shovel’ they absolutely practice what they preach.
‘Bone Shovel’ is Jinjo at their ultimate form, with this track telling a story of survival and resistance in the face of overcoming personal battles.

Grinding riffs, haunting guitar melodies, racing basslines and dynamic vocals form the backbone of this track, coming together with the aggression and feel of late 90s and early 2000's metal.
Vocalist Cameron Barnett has perfected the balance between raw heaviness and pure emotion throughout this track, with the duality between his harsh screams and melodic cleans being really viscerally impactful.
Lines like: “Of all the creatures that stalk in the night, It’s what’s inside you that you need to fight"are delivered with total strength and conviction.
Jinjo have also just dropped a music video for ‘Bone Shovel’, which you can check out down below! I really love how it has an almost DIY VHS found-footage vibe and overall it's really sick and you should definitely watch it.
With ‘Bone Shovel’ only being Jinjo’s second released single, I’m definitely looking forward to seeing what moves these guys will be making in the near future and will be keeping an ear out for more music drops from these guys for sure!
Fans of Slipknot, Pierce The Veil, Linkin Park and Korn will definitely want to chuck this one on their playlists!
Jinjo will be playing at The Northlakes Music Festival on May 29th and at the Wamberal Ocean View Beach Club on June 5th as part of the ‘Bone Shovel Tour’, so if you’re in the area you better get your ass there!
