HEATHEN DAYS does not disappoint with all of the chaotic and ferocious sound present you expect from a Rob zombie track. I genuinely could not tell you why, but this song made me think about the 2000 Aussie film bootmen, with flashes of the industrial landscape and metallic scraping coming to my minds-eye as I listened. "Burn out a new tomorrow. the beautiful scream for you. just for you. "
I CAN SEE THE ENERGY IN THE ROOM WHILE HEATHEN DAYS IS BEING PERFORMED HITTING A LEVEL OF FERAL NOT MUCH SEEN. HAVING ONLY SEEN PART OF A SET OF ROB'S AT SOUNDWAVE BACK IN THE DAY, I DON'T HAVE A HUGE AMOUNT OF EXPERIENCE WITH HIS LIVE PERFORMANCE, BUT FROM WHAT I DID SEE WITH A LITTLE PERSON DRIVING A CAR WHILE ROB THREW EVERYTHING HE HAD AT THE CROWD, I WAS LEFT WITH A TASTE TO SEE MORE. "vikings destroy the highway. the devil sings it now for you. just for you." hEATHEN DAYS HAS THE UNMISTAKABLE GROOVE THAT YOU WILL ALWAYS FIND IN A ROB ZOMBIE SONG AND I CAN'T WAIT TO HEAR HOW IT PLAYS OUT IN THE REST OF THE ALBUM.
