Self described “sorta heavy band from Sydney”, Finding Better Health’s have released the first single from their upcoming new EP. Entitled ‘The Morning’ , this one is definitely for the emos that are full of yearning (and who may or may not miss their ex.)

With its gentle gaze-influenced post hardcore sound, this track is softly nostalgic and reflective through its twinkly guitar patterns, sincere vocals and heartfelt lyrics.
'The Morning’ immediately felt like the perfect song to accompany those 3am overthinking sessions
Clean layered feminine and masculine vocals in the first verse work together to give a sense of melodic melancholy that really elevates the moodiness and atmosphere of the song.

Delving into themes like heartbreak, lyrically this track absolutely shines with beautifully crafted lines that portray pain and heartache in a vulnerable and unpretentious way. The chorus is especially evocative, with its raw stripped back sound that really draws attention to the words being sung.
“Skin I love is
Just too far to touch
I never loved a silhouette as much”
I really loved the way that each element came together in this track to create something that felt simultaneously cinematic and very real. There is a bare and raw quality to ‘The Morning’, which I think makes Finding Better Health truly stand out in the post-hardcore scene through their authenticity and their genre-defying sound.
Fans of La Dispute, Touche Amore & Basement will definitely want to chuck this one a listen! You can listen to 'The Morning' here and keep an eye on their Instagram here!
