DIESECT announce HIDE FROM THE LIGHT Deluxe EP and drop new single FOUR WALLS

Sit down for this one. Brisbane metal group DIESECT have announced the release of their HIDE FROM THE LIGHT Deluxe EP, due out Friday 20 February via Greyscale Records alongside the arrival of their crushing new single FOUR WALLS.

Originally released in May, HIDE FROM THE LIGHT marked a turning point for the band. It was their third EP and their first release with Greyscale Records, delivering a more aggressive and emotionally raw evolution of their sound. The record followed the psychological decline of a person slowly losing faith in their ability to heal….until….. the desire to fight fades and they willingly allow themselves to be consumed by the negative. Absolute cinema. Right?! I eat that up!

FOUR WALLS continues that story, diving straight into the aftermath of that emotional collapse. From the opening seconds the atmosphere tightens, capturing a suffocating sense of isolation and internal implosion.

The band describe the track as “the immediate step into the aftermath of suffering in the dark” adding that the lyrics speak for themselves and fans of their heaviest material will not be disappointed.

Reflecting on the original EP, DIESECT shared that the release has been surreal, opening doors they never expected and pushing them further than ever before. They have no intention of slowing down and believe 2026 is shaping up to be their biggest year yet.

From humble beginnings as Brisbane locals, DIESECT have grown into serious international contenders, amassing millions of streams and building a reputation for emotionally confronting heavy music that refuses to sugarcoat the realities of life. They have sold out their own headline shows across the country and supported the likes of Thrown, Fit For A King, ERRA, Silent Planet, Currents, August Burns Red, While She Sleeps, Make Them Suffer and To The Grave. Huge!

February and March will mark the band’s first international run, touring Europe alongside Crystal Lake and Miss May I, before returning home to support Spite and Varials across Australia in March.
