Ben Rankin’s latest single  “All is well in hell” is a combination of heavy rock and metal with subtle pop influences in its lyricism that will have fans singing out loud.

The track opens to slow melodic guitar before immediately turning you on your head with a scream of “BURY ME.” The music ebbs and flows between the melodic and breakdown, as the song continues, building tension through the use of clean and harsh vocals and giving the listener the feeling of despair, finishing on heavy guitar and a feeling of personal triumph.

“All is well in hell” tackles the difficult subjects of deceit, manipulation and finding self worth from within that. With lines such as “I’m sick and tired of losing all my f***ing self control”, “No one will remember you when your gone”, “A demon disguised as an angel” and “No god can save you now”, Ben is on his way to creating a roster of music for fans of heavier topics relating to mental health and self image.

"Got an ex that you hate? Someone you used to be friends with that you loathe? A person you just can’t stand to look at? Someone on the road cut you off without indicating? Did the guy at Hungry Jacks tell you to wait in bay 2 but you were the only one there? Did Qantas lose your bag? This is the song for you!" - Ben rankin

"Making this song was a really fun process because it’s a song that has elements of the bands that I listen to everyday so above all else, this was pretty much written for my personal amusement." - Ben rankin

stepping away slightly from the more acoustic smashing pumpkin sounds of "agoraphobic" and "insomniac (dead man walking)" it will be interesting to see where this Canberra local, solo acts takes his music.

"All is well in hell" will be a new playlist addition for those who like early metallica, a day to remember, black veil brides, the devil wears Prada & asking Alexandra.
