Australian Metal Icons Celebrate 30th Anniversary With The Announcement of "SEG FEST" 2027!
Australian metal legends Segression are celebrating their 30th anniversary by hosting the first ever "Seg Fest", coming to Wollongong in 2027!
Formed in Wollongong in 1996, Segression themselves have an absolutely insane history and legacy. From touring with the likes of Ozzy Osbourne, Slipknot, Pantera and Machine Head, to releasing six albums over the years, these guys have firmly cemented themselves as Australian metal icons.
Their music blends groove and thrash with influence from the peak of the nu-metal scene, which is evident on albums like “Fifth of the Fifth” and “Smile”.

"SEG FEST" is not only a celebration of Segression’s long lasting career and influence, but also a celebration of the Australian heavy music scene.
The lineup features artists from different generations playing a mix of heavy music styles and genres such as hardcore, thrash and industrial metal. Bands include heavy-hitters like 'Toe to Toe' and 'Mortality', as well as 'PistonFist', 'Backhand', 'The Witching Hour' and 'Skarmekal' who make up the next generation.
