Good ol aussie metalcore. Nothing better. Here's an artist that i've had my eye on for a while. I'm so excited to share that melbourne metalcore artist, Tigerprizm is back with a new collaborative single and it's called 'Let Me Drown'

Tigerprizm has been featured on Heretic frequency, Local Band SMokeout and The Hot & Heavy Show, of course. (links down below)

i love a good haunting intro with isolated guitars. i just know i'm gonna picture myself in a movie and go on an adventure.

this song, to me, visualises a brutal argument against one self. One's screaming for help, the devil on the shoulder is saying 'just drown. just accept defeat' it's all too real. Now, this song is a long one. it goes for a whopping 5 minutes but the lyrics are so important. it's not only beautifully written by Frank Vadala but beautifully sung by josh Paulino

With a beautiful mix of screams and cleans. it ties into the story so well.

The music is cinematic. Think like you're the villain (devil) but the city is your own mind. The superhero? Depends if there is one or not. I'm just getting too deep.

the way it just flows naturally, man.... watching the lyric video above, I was locked in from start to finish. for it being a 5 minute song, you're gonna need to keep it engaging., right? well, the structure was super impressive! this song is genuinely my favourite release from Tigerprizm.

" there's no other way to drown

than inside of my mind

can you see me crawling?

can you bring me solace?

i fade into doubt

when my soul

comes with the sound

Just let me drown"

I report back after a little chat with the songwriter frank.

You're spot on around the devil analogy. To me that is exactly how the mind works and feeds you negative thoughts.

same wavelength.

Josh was also featured on the last single, Black Lotus

this song touches on a very heavy topic.

"i'm going down

with the coldest heart

there's nothing left for me to do

other than accept whats doomed"

"my approach was to really take the listener on a journey through the different emotions you can experience when going through a challenging time. It’s a constant battle against your mind. It’s the very real feeling of isolating yourself against those around you." - Frank

a lot of the time people around you just want to give you solutions on how to heal however sometimes you need to sit in that dark place by yourself to really understand "the why" before you can actually heal and move forward. - Frank

Could not have said it better myself.

You guys need to get on to this artist and check out his work. I'm super excited to see what's next.
