The Pretty Reckless have embarked on a bold new chapter with the announcement of their fifth studio album, DEAR GOD, accompanied by a headlining world tour. Fans can also celebrate the release of their brand-new single, “When I Wake Up,” which is available now.

DEAR GOD marks a creative evolution for the band, embracing vulnerability, intensity, and artistic freedom. The album promises to be some of The Pretty Reckless’ rawest and most uncompromising work yet. The lead single “When I Wake Up” channels a punk-driven energy while staying true to the band’s signature sound, with Taylor Momsen’s commanding vocals and explosive guitar work at the forefront. The album will also feature their latest single “For I Am Death,” which topped Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Airplay chart in November 2025.

Frontwoman Taylor Momsen explained:

“‘When I Wake Up’ is the story of a dream becoming a nightmare. When a life of excess leads you on a rollercoaster that’s doomed to crash, but you just can’t see it. It’s a good time…”

After a two-year-long trek supporting AC/DC on the PWR UP Tour, The Pretty Reckless are taking their electrifying live performance to audiences around the globe with the DEAR GOD Tour. The North American leg will stop in cities such as New Orleans, Dallas, and Los Angeles before continuing across Europe.

It appears that Australia have been left off this headline tour, with the band’s last visit down under during the Soundwave Festival and Sidewaves back in 2012. Could fans in Australia see The Pretty Reckless bring their headline tour to the region in 2027? Only time will tell.
