It's been a long 7 years, but they are back, baby! The beautiful monument dropped their new album 'Euphoric Thriller' via Greyscale Records.
The band has spent the last 12 months writing, recording, and perfecting their favourite tracks with the help of Chris Lalic.

Mayday
With a song called Mayday, you're gonna expect some type of action movie type of vibe. We're running out of time. Things are getting too much. What do you do?
The song is about how, despite being knocked down over and over again with the harsh reality of the world, you don't want to give up.
Chasing my tail to make them smile. Thought I was doing well, but only time would tell That I’m about to drown
The song flows beautifully; paired with the strong angelic vocals from Lizi, it's a badass song that, in my eyes, paints the picture of just how strong women are. cause who run the world? girls.
Have to tread light feeling out of line. Got an obstructed mind and an inch of timeÂ

another badass song; the intro is slow and builds till it explodes into powerful vocals and a mean riff. it's a powerful song with villain vibes. For me, I visualise the final argument. You're officially done; it's time to take back what's mine.
I really like the lyrics to this song. to me, it's about knowing your worth and how some people just can't handle it.

oooh this intro gets me hype! it's like when a cat wiggles before they jump onto something they definitely should be jumping on. anyway....

strong energy. it's giving victory lap, is giving sacred, it's just giving big fuck you energy, which is what I like to hear.
try to break me, well i'll be victorious
the breakdown is so sick! this is a song that's gonna go hard live. I just know that this one will be a fan favourite. you're left feeling energised and ready to riot. Bring on more!

Off Script is an eerie vibe. It starts off gentle. It's got some strong chants that will catch on with the audience.

I'll masquerade 'til it all comes to and end
This has some spice; I love it. It paints the feeling of not putting on a show 24/7. You flip like a switch.

The reality is everyone has moments, and they never leave. The choice is up to you if you want to accept that or continue to exhaust yourself.

Game Over
Opening the album with a super catchy chorus and an upbeat bassline, this track is guaranteed to be a crowd favorite.
The tears you made them shed Can’t go back, can’t do it again
Behind the bouncy music is a heavy lesson about bad decisions, family, grief, and the reality that there are no second chances in this life.
Crave Anything That Stays (CATs)
Dedicated to anyone whose pet is their true ride-or-die, this track captures how a little fluff ball can instantly ease pain and help you survive tough times. Showcasing their new mix of emo-rock and nu-metal, it lands hits like:
I would crumble if I never saw your face again, did you know that you’ve driven away my pain.
Euphoric Thriller
This sexy title track is a fun nod to all the book lovers out there. Who love a good romance with a little bit of weird.
Come around and stay a while I’m feeling wired
The way these lyrics are sung just hit my eardrums just right. While Packed with high-energy vibes, it is definitely designed to get you up and dancing.
Sorry...
Starting off with a groovy bass tone, this track leans heavily into electronic synths with a super catchy chorus. It serves as an anthem for being petty and not wasting time on apologies, perfectly captured in the line:
No apologies Unapologetically me No apologies Fuck yeah it’s about me Apologies...
I'm in a period of my life where this resonates hard. Trying not to be a people pleaser anymore and standing up for actions and not saying sorry!
Bring It
Heavy guitar distortions and distorted intro vocals give this track a darker, chaotic feel about surviving the world alone. That brooding intensity balances perfectly with a lighter, catchy chorus that pulls the whole song together.

See You On The Other Side
Starting with a slow piano verse before kicking it up a notch, this track wears its heavy Evanescence influence on its sleeve while addressing grief and loss. Lizi’s vocals deliver pure, raw emotion on every word, especially on the desperate plea:
I’ll wait for you to give me a sign that this is all a dream Please, I’ll do what I can in the hopes you’ll come back to me.
FINAL TAKE
This album takes you on an emotional rollercoaster from the very first lyric, masking heavy themes of grief, identity, and survival behind a vibrant, candy-coated, danceable exterior.
I’ve been a huge fan of The Beautiful Monument since 2017, and this new direction feels like their boldest step yet. Euphoric Thriller is beautifully written from start to finish, driven by Lizi’s stunning vocals that make you feel every emotion, and I'm eager to see where this era takes them.
