Attention all deathcore fans!!
are you a fan of shadow of intent, lorna shore, archspire, or fit for an autopsy?? If you answered yes, then this new ep (shores of desolation) by the almighty brisbane deathcore heavyweights 'roronoah' is 1000% FOR YOU.

Members of this band include (From left):
Corie (bass)
jude (drums)
kalani (vocals)
ryan (Lead Guitar)
Josh (guitar)
And together they have made an ep which is nothing but a powerhouse of heaviness...

The first track to introduce us to the EP is
'primeval'. As soon as you hit play, there are some fast drum hits, and a super complex guitar riff. The instruments then introduce the vocals and just wow. This song is telling us that this ep is not only going to be deathcore, but deathcore on a completely new level. The track shows real raw and primal deathcore in a the aussie scene has never scene before. With australia leading the way for all things metal, roronoah are about to bring a whole new sound into the deathcore scene.
The second tack is already a familiar one, released as a single 'Crimson smile'. featuring bodyprison, this track comes in slowly with melodic organs which really builds the energy. The guitar subtly starts playing underneath the organs, and then after a sound of the cymbals, the vocals and everything else HIT. But not only does it hit, it hits super hard. Just have a look at the audio waves, you can see the exact moment the song erupts.

Heavy drums, harsh high vocals and dirty low vocals. You really can't go wrong, especially with the dirty breakdown at 3:30.
Next track, judgement. Once again, heavy instrumentals, haunting melodic passages, harsh highs and lows in the vocals. But this primal track goes deeper than just the instruments. Lyrically, the song is about the idea of being judged, inner conflict and consequence. The track also features an insane guitar solo, which is great to hear since solos seem to not be as common anymore.
And for the final track of the ep, featuring brisbane metalcore heavyweight 'total buzzkill', we are treated to the track mind//body. As a closer, there is no messing around. The song hits right at the beginning, and we are treated to the melodic sound of the instrumentals with a choir backing up, with the vocals hitting. We get treated to Kalani and Harley sort of relaying vocals, and they sound absolutely incredible together to say the least. the track perfectly blends the scarring emotion behind harley's voice, and the primal instincts that make roronoah.
With this ep, roronoah have truly tightened their sound. the breakdowns hit hard, the atmosphere is dark and the band is clearly levelling up.
Although shores of desolation doesn't end at just music.
