German Alternative-Rock powerhouse Letters Sent Home have joined forces with iconic Finnish Alternative-Metal band LUNA KILLS to conjure up hot new single “Bloom” alongside  visualiser, available to stream now

With this announcement, Letters Sent Home teases their upcoming extended re-release of their 2024 album Forever Undone out October 10th via SharpTone Records.

“Bloom” is a melodic, modern alternative/metal/post-hardcore track by Pop-Punk/Emo/Alt-Rock quartet Letters Sent Home in collaboration with metal band LUNA KILLS. “Bloom (with LUNA KILLS)” is the 14th track off of the newly announced Forever Undone (extended) , expanding the original 11 track album to a whopping 18 track extended play.

In the span of their three positively-recieved EPs, Letters Sent Home have played alongside the likes of bands As Anything Unfolds and Blackout Problems.

We can expect the Forever Undone (Extended) to feature collaborations and guest appearances from a variety of artists such as (but not limited to) ROYALIST, Chris Zuehlke, Pentastone, Dead Lakes and CMAXLINK.

We look forward to finding out who else may be in on this album!

Letters Sent Home shared this sentiment about the new single;

"Bloom portrays the inner conflict you have with yourself when you’re in love with someone who is not good for you,"

They continue, "You know you need to leave, but after every storm there is sunshine and you feel like you need the sun to bloom, so you don’t leave, and it stays a seemingly never-ending cycle.

With our melodic, soft vocals and their heaviness, the collaboration with LUNA KILLS represents that conflict perfectly.”

So, who are they and how did they get to where they are now?

Well, across the globe, in the green countryside of North Germany, Letters Sent Home was formed initially in 2015 by vocalist Emily Paschke, bassist Lara Ripke, drummer Louis Schramm and Robin Werner on guitar while studying at school there together, later getting more serious about their project and returning in 2020 to release their debut single “Mosaic Mirror” after vocalist Emily and bassist Lara’s time studying in North America.

While serving as an outlet for the vocalist’s personal struggles and inner turmoils, the talented quartet has since been taking the alt-rock/emo/pop-punk scene by storm with their raw and true lyrics, unique sound and commendable production quality with the help of their long-time producer and friend Julian ‘Polar’ Huisel.

The name of the album Forever Undone was born from a lyric out of one of the songs on it’s tracklist. When speaking about the album, this is what Letters Sent Home vocalist Emily had to say on it.

“It took us so long to find that title,” Emily says.

“The whole purpose of the album is that I'm talking about my personal trauma, and how you never actually fully heal from stuff that happens to you, but learn to live with it.

You may bear scars, but those scars are never going to fade fully. There's always something you can work on. I feel like you're never fully, completely satisfied or happy.”

With their producer and friend ‘Polar’, Letters Sent Home spent two years perfecting their album Forever Undone. (extended).

Emily speaks further about the album’s creative and lyrical process, expressing the foremost intention of the album - a focus on her journey of integrating the pain and baggage from historic traumatic experiences into her current day-to-day life, as well as being able to sit with it in peace, in acceptance of that journey, it’s challenges and it’s results. Moving forward in life and limiting how often you look back.

Each track on this extended release has been ordered with intention. Forever Undone’s leading track “Request Denied” serves as a bridge between the past, coming to acceptance with what cannot be fixed or changed, and the future to come.

Much of Letters Sent Home’s previous lyrical content matter has consisted of expressions of mental health struggle, with “Request Denied” bringing this subject full circle, signalling fresh beginnings for the band while also allowing space for growth and experimentation within their lyrical expression.

Letters Sent Home have ‘outdone’ themselves with Forever Undone (ha, get it?) and we look forward to the release of their extended version on October 10th.

This album a powerful collection of unique and refined heavy sound, marking another win for female-fronted rock, punk, emo and metal.
