Estonian band, ARTIFER, have just released their latest single "plague" following the release of their first album "still alive" last year. self proclaimed “Modern heavy music with a pop twist” artists, this is definitely the best description for their music style.

"plague" opens on the hard hitting lyrics “Your words are a plague. An outbreak. A disgusting disease.” . you follow the story of their hatred for the worst of humanity, "deceiver, deceiver," “You hurt the people that You claimed were vital,” "I don't know who to trust, Everyone lies too much, Infectious and dangerous, Some just wish to corrupt"

ARTIFER have manager to turn breakdowns sexy in "plague" and I honestly wouldn't be surprised to see people dancing to this on tiktok when they blow up. the pop hook and electronic influence over a heavy metal breakdown is something reminisce of rammstein's "du hast."

the unique vocal inflections by singer Markus enhance the listening experience by adding character to a situation that might not have been there otherwise.

I have a personal obsession with the slap bass style sounds in the last minute, that create such a quirky vibe compared to the chunky bass lines of the rest of the song.

this song will have you wanting to bob your head, shake your arse, give your best stank face and throw down all in the span of 3 minutes and 20 seconds.

"Malignant, invasive

A deadly hoax that You have created

When words are contagious

Every little false truth proves fatal

S I C K

So sick of Your apathy

Are You afraid

Of the cure"

artifer was a solo artistic act started by singer and founder markus, before fleshing out into a full band after the pandemic. artifer have 1700 monthly spotify listeners and they are due to play zilonis festival in July.

you can find ARTIFER on most forms of social media and are available on most streaming services.
